Wellington comedian Sarah Harpur’s dedication to her craft was recognized last Thursday night in Auckland at the AMP Scholarship Awards Ceremony, where she was announced as one of the recipients of the prestigious “Do Your Thing” Scholarship Award for 2011.
The AMP Scholarship Programme aims to support talented Kiwis by encouraging and assisting them to achieve their goals and ‘do their thing’ – whatever that thing may be. Sarah’s thing, in her own words, is writing and performing her ‘award winning 'brilliantly bizarre' comedy across the globe’.
Sarah is delighted, and says that this will go a long way to further her comedy career. She will be proudly representing New Zealand on the world stage in 2012 when she heads to Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia and Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland.
