John Carr is without question one of the most unique regular acts on the Auckland comedy market. His immediate personability as the grandfather of geriatric comedy truly presents itself, whether or not sick beats being laid down at the time.

His brilliant storytelling intermingled with fruity-patootey rap that would rival that of his idol "Scribe", worked fantastically with his crowd interaction. Even if in this particular show he bought onstage someone who probably beat him out of high school by a fair number of years.

His ability to reach out and touch every member in the audience, which did cross many generations, earned him a great repertoire with the audience. An unexpectedly good hour, filled with many laughs.
