We’ve been beavering away and we’re damn proud to present this incredible line-up for our 21st NZ International Comedy Festival.
The Festival is an opportunity for audiences to discover and experience some of the top comedians currently touring the globe. Our 2013 programme features some of the hottest names from the international Festival circuit, alongside a number of acts that have been on our wish list for several years.
But while we may be International by name, last year audiences showed strong support for our Kiwi comics, with more local shows selling out their seasons than ever before. This year, we are offering audiences that same opportunity, with one of the strongest local line- ups we’ve ever programmed. We’re also stoked to announce that New Zealand’s own Jeremy Corbett will kick things off as host of Comedy Gala in Auckland and First Laughs in Wellington.
I’d like to thank our family of sponsors, funders, producers, suppliers and venues for their generous support, along with our immensely hard-working Festival team. And most importantly, my thanks go to the talented comedians who make up our Festival and keep us laughing
With 200 performers, in 115 shows, at 50 venues across New Zealand, I look forward to seeing you all for what promises to be a month of knee-slapping, snort-inducing, gut-busting comedy.
