Kura Japanese Restaurant serves delectable Japanese food with a modern fusion twist. Situated in the comedy and theatre hub of Auckland in the Auckland Town Hall block, Kura is located on Queen Street, down the stairs, in an old grain silo dating back to when the Waihorotui creek flowed down Queen Street valley. The original purpose of the building is still obvious by the large stone wall that creates an impressive backdrop for a truly unique dining experience.

Kura delights in taking Japanese dining further than just sushi, offering specialty dishes such as their Bridge Roll and Spider Roll (deep-fried soft-shell crab sushi!), Authentic Japanese beer on tap and an incredible range of sakes to choose from.

Come downstairs and dine at Kura before going to your next show. It’s definitely worth the visit.
