Comedy Lab

Comedy Lab is a development initiative designed for comedians performing in the NZ International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo. 

The initiative involves performances from a selection of comedians performing in the festival, each performance is followed by a question and answer session facilitated by the host. The questions will be aimed at you (the audience) and will require you to provide constructive feedback on the material beneficial to the artist based on your experience and taste, they will have prepared some key questions they are looking for advice around to help with this process.

We’ll also have industry specialists in the room. The main objective is to get authentic audience responses/feedback as they develop their show to help get it really sharp for Festival. We will  be providing you with a short online audience survey post show which will allow you to raise points you thought of later or were unable to voice in the room. Relevant information will be passed onto the comedians and used to help us develop the development initiative even further.
