Getting Around & Parking

Auckland

Public Transport
Train, bus, or walking? For bus, train and ferry timetables go to Auckland Transport or phone 09 366 6400.

The LINK buses are the easiest way to get around Auckland's inner suburbs. Take the red City LINK to get around Auckland's CBD, the green Inner LINK to get around Auckland's inner city and the orange Outer LINK to get around the inner suburbs of Auckland.

Parking
There are several great parking options in the inner city including the Civic Carpark, accessed via Lower Greys Ave which is close to most of our Auckland venues. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a park before your show as latecomers may not be admitted.

Road Closures and Traffic Diversions
The City Rail Link works continue to affect traffic, bus routes, and access near and around the Comedy Festival's inner-city venues and the Aotea Arts Quarter.

Sunday 23 Feb – mid-2021
City-bound buses from the North Shore, West Auckland, and in central Auckland will be diverted along Mayoral Drive or Victoria Street, depending on the route.

You can find out more about these diversions, or plan your public transport journey in advance.

Sunday 1 March – mid-2021
The intersection at Wellesley St West, Mayoral Drive, and Albert Street will be closed to all vehicles. Traffic diversions will be in place. Access to carparks in the surrounding areas will be unaffected.

As there will be traffic delays, please ensure you factor in extra travel time if you are coming to our city venues.
